I haven't posted in a week... the Christmas break went by so fast and I really had to motivate myself after I took the GMAT the second time. Happy New Year, by the way!
(why is the first paragraph using a bigger font-size?! i didn't do that)
Back to my application process...
Good news is that I finished the applications for Chicago Booth GSB and Stanford GSB, and sent them today. Kellogg is almost done - Part1 is sent and payed, but the first essay doesn't sound right... so I decided to give it another try. The good thing is, that Kellogg's deadline is not until next week.
Not so good news is that I didn't finish the Harvard application & deadline is today. I can't really say that I am sad about it, because of all the schools this is the one I know least about. I have to admit that I chose it because of the schools brand rather than any program specifics.
This means (almost) 3 down, 1 out and 1 (INSEAD) to go. Although with the last one I am not so sure if I won't wait until I hear back from the 3 US schools.
I will admit that I am a little worried...
1.) my recommenders haven't sent anything yet / both ensured me they'd send the recommendation letters before the deadline. I sent them another friendly indirect reminder, telling them that I completed my application and payed already the processing fees.
2.) my GMAT score is definitely the weakest part of the application and it feels like a bulls-eye for 'ding'tinction (copyright: bizwiz) to me.
3.) i am the only one who read my essays / there wasn't enough time to find someone to read them and I didn't want my former boss (lawyer) to do the honors...
well... it's not over until it's over.
bye,
